  Cultural Plan for Jazz Education and Performance

Vernon James, musician and chair of the Christina Cultural Arts Center’s Music Department, plays in a Latin jazz band.

The Christina Cultural Arts Center is a 54-year-old art institution in Wilmington with a long history of service in the field of arts education. It used an ArtsREACH grant to
develop “A Blueprint for Jazz: A Comprehensive Plan for Education and Presentation of Jazz.”

Robert Boysie Lowery taught a JazzREACH workshop sponsored by the Christina Cultural Arts Center and the Interneighborhood Foundation.
